Sumilon Island Dive Site
Sumilon Island Dive Site is your perfect postcard island picture. A small remote island 4 kilometers off the south eastern tip of Cebu Island. Tropico Scuba Diving Resort Dumaguete can have you diving at this remote location in 1 hour from our dive boat. The island is a private reserve, however we can use the sand bar for pictures playing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Sumilon Island Dive Site contains 6 dives sites. 2 dives across the western shore reef (the sanctuary). 5 meters to 15 meters. Soft and hard corals. Eels, Nudibranchs, Sweet Lips, Pacific Grouper, Jacks, Parrot Fish, and Turtles can often be seen. At 15 meters to 25 meters you can get 2 more dives across the wall. Excellent visibility.
On the southern point of the Sumilon Island Dive Site the terrain seems to be a baren landscape. This dive is best when currents are strong. Recommended Advanced Divers. Sumilon Island Dive Site on the north shore can often have Black Tip and White Tip Reef Sharks. The best times to see these creatures is the first dive of the day at approximately 30 meters. Advanced Divers Only.
